Sacred Heart Elementary School History |
Sacred heart School has a preschool program for 4-year olds that runs on Tuesday and Thursday all day.
The school offers a unique environment because of its small-school atmosphere. We are able to provide great teacher to student ratios, so that all students can be successful. Moral values are stressed in a religious surrounding. A concern for social issues, mission of the Church, and peace and justice are included in the curriculum. Twice a week the students participate in the celebration of the Eucharistic Liturgy, where students participate in reading petitions and bringing up the offertory gifts. Daily prayer and seasonal prayer services are highlighted throughout the year.
At Sacred Heart School, our value-based education not only feeds the mind, but the spirit as well. Our highly qualified and certified teachers can give your children the skills necessary to succeed in today's world. Sacred Heart offers a full Diocesan-approved curriculum, including Reading, Religion, Math, Science, English, Social Studies, Spelling, Music, Art, Physical Education and Computers, that feeds the mind and soul. We are dedicated to increasing children's knowledge and love for their Catholic faith.
Teacher and role modeling good moral values feeds the spirit. Daily religion classes, all-school liturgies, prayer services and school-wide mission projects provide the basis for an excellent spiritual education.
Parents work closely with the school through the Home and School Association. An Education Committee evaluates the education goals through support and advice at its monthly meetings. The parishioners of Sacred Heart maintain a strong commitment to helping support the parish school through fundraisers and financial subsidy. The SCRIP program was established as another source of revenue for the school. The parents and parishioners of Sacred Heart believe in the presence of a parish school as vital to their faith and the heritage they so proudly proclaim.
Visits to the school can be set up by contacting the principal. Contact information can be found on the contact page.
